Proskauer On Privacy Conference

This year’s conference will focuson the latest developments in the area of privacy. Jessica Rich, ActingAssociate Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Division of Privacy andidentity Protection will be the keynote speaker. The program will be held onOctober 8 at the Grand Hyatt in NewYork, Manhattan Ballroom, 109 East 42nd Street, startingat 8 a.m. with registration and beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

Other speakers at the conference fromProskauer will be: Jeffrey D. Neuberger, Partner, Co-Chair, Technology, Mediaand Communications Practice Group speaking on Behavioral Marketing: Mobile andGeolocational Targeting; Web 2.0 Privacy Issues; Kristen J.Mathews, Partner,Privacy and Data Security Practice Group, speaking on Data Security andIdentity Theft Prevention; Katharine H. Parker, Partner, Labor and EmploymentDepartment, addressing Workplace privacy; Employee Geo-tracking and Monitoring;DNA and Biometrics; Privacy Rights of Former Employees.

The program has been approved forexperienced attorneys for a maximum of three credit hours in Professional Practice from New York State and 2.75hours of General Practice for California.This non-traditional education program is not approved for the newly admittedattorney within the first two years of admission to the Bar according to theNew York State Continuing Legal Education Board.
