Leading global law firm Dentons has welcomed back market leading lawyer Sue Moore, to head its Restructuring & Insolvency practice group in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East. Sue rejoined the firm on 22 April as partner, having started her career at Dentons and been a partner until 2011.
Sue joins Dentons from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath. Prior to this, she was partner at Stephenson Harwood for 9 years where she led the Global Finance Practice, and was Head of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice.
Sue has a strong track record of guiding clients through the complexities of corporate cross-border and domestic restructuring and insolvency. She advises on all aspects of financial distress, restructurings, corporate insolvencies and insolvency litigation, and has played a crucial role in many landmark cases that have shaped the legal landscape. She continues to feature on market-leading mandates, and acts for debtors, insolvency office holders, boards of directors, banks, funds, financial advisers, corporate trustees and other stakeholders.
Sue is recognised as a leading individual and a market-leader in the restructuring and insolvency field in the legal directories. In addition, she supports junior members of the profession, acting as Mentoring Co-Chair for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation in London. She is also a former member of the Insolvency Rules Committee, a body that gives recommendations to the U.K. Lord Chancellor in connection with secondary insolvency legislation.
Speaking after the announcement, Paul Jarvis, Dentons' Chief Executive for the UK and Middle East (UKME), added, "I am thrilled to welcome Sue back to Dentons. Restructuring & Insolvency is a core part of our 5-year strategy and I am delighted to have Sue onboard."
Dentons partner Louisa Caswell, who leads the Disputes division in the UK, said, "This year, forecasters are predicting the highest levels of restructurings and insolvencies since the 2008/09 crash. Sue's expertise as well as her reputation as an exceptional Restructuring & Insolvency lawyer will help us to further enhance our offering to clients who may be facing a difficult, complex road ahead."
