Neil Roberts is appointed to senior advisor of FTI Consulting's strategic communications segment

FTI Consulting, Inc. announces the expansion of its Strategic Communications segment in Australia with the appointment of Neil Roberts as a Senior Advisor, based in Perth. Mr. Roberts brings considerable knowledge of the political, regulatory, legal and commercial environments and will advise companies who seek to navigate government engagement.

With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Roberts has worked as a key member of leadership teams in a diverse range of government and commercial arenas, most recently as the Chief of Staff to the Western Australia Minister for Mines and Petroleum and Energy, the Hon Bill Johnston.

Prior to that appointment, Mr. Roberts was chief of staff to Federal Resources and Energy Minister the Hon Martin Ferguson and also chief of staff to the Minister for State Development, Tourism and Small Business the Hon. Clive Brown, and Resources Advisor to the Hon. Alan Carpenter.

Mr. Roberts’ commercial experience includes seven years as company secretary and general counsel at St. Barbara Limited as well as at Midwest Corporation (now Sinosteel Midwest).

Mr. Roberts has held leadership roles throughout his distinguished career in a diverse range of representative and charitable organisations, many of which underwent substantial change and development during his time with them.

Mr. Roberts graduated in Law from the University of Western Australia and Melbourne University.
