FTI expands construction solutions capabilities - appoints Matthew Murch

FTI Consulting, Inc. announces the appointment of Matthew Murch as a Managing Director in the Construction Solutions practice within the firm’s Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment.

Based in Chicago, Mr. Murch will lead a new Construction Integrity Monitoring & Oversight Services offering within the Construction Solutions practice, designed to help government agencies and private sector organizations with major capital investments mitigate project-related risks, including cost overruns, schedule delays, fraud, waste and abuse. Through the offering, the firm’s Construction Solutions professionals will provide targeted and ongoing support to executive-level management, oversight boards and internal audit functions across the project life cycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction and close-out.

Mr. Murch has more than 15 years of experience providing capital project advisory services across a variety of industries, including transportation, power and utilities, public works, real estate, healthcare and manufacturing. He has worked with public agencies and Fortune 500 clients to plan, manage and implement billions of dollars in capital investments, specializing in the areas of project prioritization, funding and financing, integrity monitoring, project management oversight, construction management technology, business process design, operating models, organizational assessments and construction dispute support.

Mr. Murch has significant experience developing and executing major capital construction programs, including performing gap analyses and improving business process design across the project life cycle. He also specializes in developing enterprise risk management frameworks for capital programs and performing Monte Carlo simulation risk analyses to evaluate potential cost and schedule outcomes, assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to improve cost and schedule performance.
