FTI Consulting, Inc. announces the appointment of Rupesh Shah and Aaron Terry as Managing Directors within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, adding further restructuring, business transformation and transactions expertise to the firm’s Energy, Power & Products practice.
Mr. Shah, who is based in New York, is an expert in providing merger and acquisition advisory, strategic and financial planning, and risk management advisory. His expertise extends to business valuation analysis, interim management (including CFO and CRO), troubled company restructuring, as well as merger integration planning and execution.
Based in Houston, Mr. Terry advises public and private energy companies and lenders within the exploration and production and energy services industry segments. His experience includes cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, upstream and midstream valuations, and financial modeling. He has also advised clients on DIP sizing, bankruptcy preparation and acquisition opportunities.

Mr. Shah has experience in a range of energy sectors, including utilities, retail energy, conventional generation and renewable generation such as solar, wind and biofuels. In addition to interim management and business transformation engagements, Mr. Shah has served as financial advisor to various parties in M&A, including due diligence on behalf of financing sources, identification of acquisition targets, buy and sale assistance, commodity risk assessment, and preparation and negotiation of bids and acquisition agreements on both distressed and healthy investments.
Mr. Terry joins FTI Consulting from Kayne Anderson, where he spent 10 years working in senior research roles on the marketable securities team. His research experience covered an extensive portion of the North American energy complex, spanning upstream and midstream companies across all major U.S. basins and Western Canada. He also managed M&A diligence on various offers for midstream gathering and procession targets in the Permian and Anadarko Basins. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Mr. Terry worked as a restructuring advisor at Alvarez & Marsal, where he represented public and private energy companies and lenders within the exploration and production and energy services industry segments.
