Clifford Chance has reappointed Kathleen Werner and Jon Zonis to head its Americas Capital Markets practice.
Werner primarily represents companies and investment banks in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Her clients include public and private companies in the financial services, real estate and media industries, and she acts as regular outside corporate and SEC counsel to many of them. She also represents investment banking firms acting as underwriters and initial purchasers in public and private securities offerings. Werner is a senior member of the Firm's REIT practice, which has been top-ranked for more than a decade.
Zonis specializes in representing foreign private issuers and underwriters in cross-border debt and equityofferings of securities into the US, principally including IPOs, high-yield debt offerings, SEC filings, Rule 144A and Regulation S private placements, debt restructurings and tender offers. He has been involved in public and private transactions across a broad range of industries. Zonis is also a leader of the Firm's cross-border Latin America group, which is known for innovative, landmark deals across disciplines and throughout the region.
