Clifford Chance Advising Europcar on Purchase of Fox Rent A Car

Clifford Chance is advising Europcar Mobility Group (Paris: EUCAR), Europe’s leading car rental company, on its acquisition of Fox Rent A Car, one of the largest independent players in the U.S. car rental market. The strategic acquisition marks a key milestone for Europcar in its strategy to reach €4 billion in revenue and 15 million active customers by 2023.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but will be financed using a combination of cash and Europcar shares. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year. More information can be found here.
