We love the annual ritual of predicting what’s in store for the corporate legal world in the new year. You’d think we would have learned last year. Can’t really remember anyone predicting a global pandemic and economic meltdown driving the stock markets to new heights. Anyway, the folks at Artificial Lawyer, one of our favorites, is out of the blocks fast with a range of experts weighing in on the 2021 legal tech sector. Our favorite is from Bas Boris Visser, Global Head of Innovation and Business Change with Clifford Chance: “The most important change I expect to see is that we increasingly move from point solutions (solutions focused on improving a specific part of a transaction) to end-to-end solutions (so having a variety of integrated tech solutions relevant to the overall transaction type available on one platform). This will mean consolidation in the market of legal tech companies where we will see a number of bigger players buying up the providers of point solutions to be able to offer the integrated platform and other tech companies making themselves available through platforms like Reynen Court.” Read many more predictions at Artificial Lawyer.
