Inquiring minds want to know - Law Technology Digest

I had to double check the release of Microsoft Copilot in light of TR's announcement. Windows Copilot will be available to Windows Insiders starting in June. It's good to see a legal vendor on the leading edge as opposed to the trailing edge of Microsoft's product announcements. But then again, we are talking about AI here and integration and inclusion of those magic words are paramount for all vendors. I find it fascinating that we always hear how much vendors are now going to spend on AI, but never how much they had been spending. I mean how do you get a feel for what that new number means without the preior number? In Thomson Reuters' case, they "announced plans to invest some $100 million a year in AI." What was the spend prior to that? $80 million? $8 million? $800? It does matter. Read more at:
