Jeff Brandt, Editor of PinHawk's Law Technology Digest Newsletter, discusses on how Melissa Heikkila's article on how it is still early for AI Agents and there is no definitive definition for them in the world of AI.
I'll jump right to Jim Fan's definition, "...they are AI models and algorithms that can autonomously make decisions in a dynamic world." But author, Melissa Heikkila, properly reminds us, "It is still early days for research into AI agents, and the field does not have a definitive definition for them." "The grand vision for AI agents is a system that can execute a vast range of tasks, much like a human assistant." There is a lot of potential to that. It certainly is certainly the promise of some legal specific AIs, a promise I might argue has yet to truly be fulfilled. Don't let an agent read this for you.
