3 Keys to Unlocking In-House Potential

Olga Mack, CEO of Parley Pro, a contract lifecycle management platform, recently wrote that the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on most everything, including the stubbornly change resistant legal profession. “Thankfully,” she writes at Above the Law, “there are still a few fundamental concepts that did not test positive for anything but longevity.” Those are her keys to in-house success: integration, optimization, and maximization. Mack uses three clips from her podcast, “Notes to My (Legal) Self,” to illustrate. They feature contract guru Jeanette Nyden (The Changing Future of Contracts); in-house counsel Laurie Ehrlich (Building the Legal Department of the Future); and GC Ken Ito (Finding Your First Legal Job in a Bad Economy). “Strive for synergistic relationships with other people and departments as you leverage any advantage — technological and otherwise — to better you, your department, and your processes,” she writes. “It’ll help you survive any flux –- and we might need it for 2021.”
