Description

Internal investigations are a common occurrence for corporate legal departments. They may be triggered by the departure of disgruntled employees, the potential loss of trade secrets, harassment claims, security breaches, or other events. Done well an investigation puts you back in control, allowing you to set the course for your response. An effective investigation allows you to make decisions based on facts and data to provide cost predictability and even real cost savings. Done poorly an internal investigation can be a costly, drawn out distraction.

How effective are your internal investigations? Are you proactive or just reacting to the situation?
