Yuri Wehrmeijer will join the Firm as a partner in the Global Disputes Practice, based in the Amsterdam Office.
Mr. Wehrmeijer has 17 years of litigation and arbitration experience, advising and representing clients from the Netherlands and around the world. His experience spans a variety of industries including energy, health care and life sciences, technology, media and telecom, real estate, consumer goods, financial services, and industrials, and includes corporate and commercial law disputes, contract disputes, professional liability matters, cross-border liability cases, and class actions. He has particular experience in preliminary relief proceedings, injunctions, and seizures of assets and evidence. In addition, Mr. Wehrmeijer has five years of experience as a cassation lawyer at the Dutch Supreme Court.
At Jones Day, Mr. Wehrmeijer joins an integrated team of more than 200 Global Disputes lawyers, located in over 25 business centers worldwide, who advise clients on how to successfully resolve high-value business disputes wherever they arise around the globe. He will work alongside his Jones Day colleagues to help clients with both litigation and arbitration matters in some of the most challenging jurisdictions in the world.

Mr. Wehrmeijer is a lecturer in corporate litigation at the Amsterdam Bar (the Dutch Law Firm School), and teaches Dutch procedural law at Leiden University. He is an editor for a Dutch legal publication from Kluwer and also writes frequently for other Dutch legal magazines.

Mr. Wehrmeijer earned both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands. He is a member of the Dutch Corporate Litigation Association, Dutch Association for Procedural Law, and Dutch Association for Civil Law.
