Kristina M. Moore has joined the firm’s Business Litigation group as a partner in Washington, D.C. Operating at the center of law, politics, and the media for over 20 years, Moore advises highly regulated industries with a focus on policy and legal challenges that have gained the attention of the national news media and policymakers on Capitol Hill. She leverages nearly 15 years of experience in Congress to advise Fortune 500 companies facing Congressional inquiries as well as litigation into toxic tort matters and has counseled clients through unique bet-the-company crises and challenges.

Hideki Akiyama has joined the firm’s Corporate & Securities group as a partner in Raleigh. A trusted advisor to Japanese companies doing business in the U.S., Akiyama focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, labor and employment matters, and dispute resolution. He grew up, studied, and has worked in the U.S. and Japan and is well-versed in the cultural and structural differences of doing business in both countries.
