WMACCA Seminar Focus: IP For Non-Profits

The Washington, DC Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is planning a CLE seminar titled WMACCA Non-Profits & Associations Forum: OMG, IP! - An Overview of Intellectual Property Issues for Non-Profit Organizations in the Electronic Age.

The program will take place on Thursday, November 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the offices of Howrey LLP, 1299 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.

In this electronic age, intellectual property issues abound and they are just as applicable to non-profit organizations as they are to for-profit entities. This program will provide an overview of how intellectual property issues affect non-profits and will provide practical suggestions for handling these issues. Cecil Key, of Howrey, also will explore the impact that practices such has "phishing" and "tasting" and issues concerning orphan works have on non-profit organizations.
