On Thursday, July 15, the WLALA will hold a Call to Action Summer Reception to honor the Call to Action signatories. It is being hosted by Call to Action signatory Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at their offices, 300 S. Grand Avenue, Suite 3400 in Los Angeles.
Last October, senior women from 32 major law firms and eight non-law firm employers met to share their experiences and exchange ideas about how to further the goals of their firms' women initiatives. That meeting ended with a Call to Action to law firms to focus attention on how to promote and retain women lawyers. In November, nearly 100 attorneys attended a half-day seminar that continued that dialogue.
The LACBA-WLALA Joint Task Force invites your law firm or employer to become a signatory to the Call to Action. They will be honored at this event and on the LACBA and WLALA websites.
