The South Central Texas ACC chapter has scheduled a lunchtime seminar for corporate counsel titled Turn up the Volume outside Counsel: You're Not Listening for Friday, February 6, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the San Antonio Plaza Club, 100 W, Houston Street, San Antonio.
Program moderator David Prichard, partner, PHMY, will lead a panel discussion that will be of interest to corporate counsel. It will ask how involved you are on a day-to-day basis with outside counsel; how involvedyou want to be; how involved does your organization want you to be; and why does it matter.
The panelists are John Harvey, vice president and general counsel, i2 Technologies, Inc.; Tony Avey, partner, PHMY; and Marialyn Barnard, attorney, PHMY.
John Harvey was selected as one of three nominees by the Texas General Counsel Forum for the 2006 Magna Stella Award in the Up and Comer category. The Magna Stella Award recognizes excellence for in-house counsel leadership.
