What The SEC Has In Mind For Smaller Companies

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) is offering a CLE seminar titled SEC Update for Smaller Public Companies.

The program will take place on Thursday, October 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

Over the past several months, the Commission has released numerous proposals for changes in the SEC rules which will cause widespread changes in how public companies meet their compliance requirements, as well as how financing transactions may be structured. This seminar will focus on the highlights of those changes, with an emphasis on the effects for small- to mid-cap companies and the institutions which finance those entities.

The speaker will be Jolie Kahn, a securities lawyer who represents both issuers and institutional investors in the small- to mid-cap arena.
