Buchalter is pleased to announce the addition of Wendy Lee to the Firm’s Seattle office. Lee joins Buchalter as a Shareholder, and will spearhead the launch of the firm’s new Fintech and AI practice group.

Lee brings extensive experience in commercial finance and will also serve as the Chair of the Fintech and AI Practice Group. Prior to joining Buchalter, Lee was the Chief Legal Officer at a Fintech pioneering the rollout of AI related technology in the Mortgage Servicing industry. Lee was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the legal profession, including receiving the Exceptional Women Alliance Awardee in 2023, DS News Top 25 Women of Law (2021) and the prestigious USFN Member of the Year, the “Eddy” Award in 2021.
Lee, who is excited to join Buchalter, stated, “I am honored to join such a respected firm and look forward to contributing to the continued success of Buchalter’s Seattle office and all of the Firm’s clients. With the rapidly evolving technology landscape, our practice can provide full service support for the use of data in modern Artificial Intelligence platforms, including legal and compliance support for all aspects of procurement, management, security, and retention. My preference for working in multi-disciplinary teams from my prior technical career, coupled with in-house and consulting experience will allow us at Buchalter to deliver efficient and effective legal strategies for keeping up with technology. ”
In addition to her professional achievements, Lee has a rich history of involvement in various legal associations, including serving as a past Board Member of USFN America’s Mortgage Banking Attorneys, a past Member of the Executive Committee of USFN, and a past Member of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women.
Lee earned her J.D., magna cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law, where she served as a Research and Technical Editor for the Seattle University Law Review. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
