Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that Mark Thompson will join the firm as a private equity partner in London to further strengthen Weil’s offering to clients in the real assets sector. Mark will work closely with Real Assets partners James MacArthur, Paul Hibbert and Anthea Bamford.
Mark is currently a partner at Sidley Austin who has over 20 years of experience advising clients on international private equity and M&A transactions. Mark has particular expertise in real estate and has represented clients in industries such as energy, telecommunications, banking and finance (including electronic payments), transportation, logistics and life sciences.
