Weil has advised Macquarie Asset Management on the acquisition of Roadchef from Antin Infrastructure Partners by one of its managed infrastructure funds. Roadchef is a leading U.K. motorway service area (MSA) operator with 30 locations across the U.K. motorway network serving more than 52 million customers every year. As the only permitted commercial presence on motorways, MSAs provide essential services to motorists, including rest areas, toilets, food and beverage outlets, refueling/recharging facilities and accommodation.
Weil partner James MacArthur commented: “It has been a pleasure to work closely with our colleagues at Macquarie Asset Management on this exciting acquisition of Roadchef. This deal demonstrates our continued proficiency advising the largest global private equity clients on their strategic investments in infrastructure assets.”
The Weil team was led by Private Equity Infrastructure partner James MacArthur supported by counsel Thomas Fisher and associates Richard Wright and Alexandra Thams. Finance support was provided by Private Equity Infrastructure Finance partner Paul Hibbert and counsel Emma Serginson.
