International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that Robert Stern has joined the Firm as a partner in the Securities Litigation practice, based in Weil’s Washington, D.C. office.

Rob joins Weil from the Washington, D.C. office of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he was a partner and previously served as Chair of the nationwide White Collar, Investigations, Securities Litigation & Compliance Practice Group. In his practice, Rob represents financial institutions, Fortune 100 companies, officers and directors of public companies and accounting firms in defending major state and federal actions. He represents companies and individuals before the SEC and in FINRA arbitrations, and has litigated dozens of securities, commodities and M&A class actions as well as the parallel SEC, CFTC, PCAOB and/or criminal enforcement matters that accompany them.
