Virginia CLE Presenting National Sports And Entertainment Law Symposium

The Third Annual National Sports and Entertainment Law Symposium will be hosted by the Virginia Law Foundation on Tuesday, April 28. To be held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, Virginia, the symposium will begin at 9:00 a.m. and adjourn at 4:45 p.m. with a reception for both faculty and attendees.

For lawyers who focus their practice on the sports and entertainment fields, this conference is designed to provide perspective on the current state of the law, considering the dramatic changes coming from the administration in Washington every day. Topics on the agenda include What the Obama Administration Means for Copyright Owners, Broadcasters, Technology Companies and Consumers; Talent Agreements and Related Issues in Film and Television; The Music Industry in the Digital Age; Representing Professional Athletes and Team Contract Negotiation; Regulatory and Legal Issues to Consider; Sports in a Changing Economic Marketplace; and Representing High-Profile Clients in the Literary World.

Faculty for the program will include Robert B. Barnett, Williams & Connelly; Kelly Cole, National Association of Broadcasters; Keven J. Davis, Garvey Schubert Barer; Bennett J.
