Utah Bar Plans Securities Seminar

The Utah State Bar Association has scheduled its Thirtieth Annual Securities Law Section Seminar.

The program will take place on Friday and Saturday, August 10 and 11 at the Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley, ID. Sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to noon on Friday and from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Discussion topics will include: SEC Update; Recent Federal Securities Enforcement Issues; Current Utah Securities & State Regulatory Issues; Trends and Developments in the Proxy Process - How Does it All Work; M&A Deal Points; Delaware Law Update; Utah Law Update; Controls & Procedures for Small Public Companies; Real Estate/ Securities Issues, and Going Private/ Going Dark.

Among the speakers are Kenneth D. Israel Jr., district administrator, SEC Salt Lake City Office; Daniel F. Shea, Hogan & Hartson, LLP, and Brad Jacobsen and Christopher Scharman, Home Roberts & Owen LLP.
