UT CLE Slates Taxation ConferenceIn Houston On November 1-3

The University of Texas Law School CLE early next month will present its 54th Annual Taxation Conference.

The program will take place Wednesday-Friday, November 1-3 at the Four Seasons Hotel, 1300 Lamar, Houston. Sessions will run from 8:20 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day two, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on day three.

Among the topics to be covered are: Recent Federal Income Tax Developments; Ethics Lessons From the Shelter Wars: What All Practitioners Can Learn From the IRS's Increased Disciplinary and Criminal Enforcement Efforts; Section 409A: The Tax Law That Ate the World, and Practical Tips on Drafting Tax Provisions in Partnership Agreements.

Among the speakers will be: Johnny Rex Buckles, University of Houston Law Center; Dennis B. Drapkin, Jones Day; Peter J. Genz, King & Spalding LLP, and Kevin Thomason, Thompson & Knight LLP.
