The International Chamber of Commerce and the American Bar Association sections of International Law and Dispute Resolution are holding a joint international mediation conference on Thursday, February 11, at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), 38 Cours Albert 1er, 75008 Paris, France.
Designed for in-house counsel, members of senior corporate management, newcomers to mediation, law firm attorneys, and mediation practitioners, this course aims to provide companies with guidance on using mediation in the current economic climate, when companies are interested in limiting risk and achieving quick and business-wise results when resolving disputes and cheaper and less litigious ways of settling controversies.
Experienced practitioners and users of mediation will describe the benefits it offers as a dispute resolution technique for international businesses, with examples of corporate disputes where mediation has been helpful in reaching a settlement for all parties.
Speakers will also provide insight into the process of choosing settlement techniques for specific disputes and offer practical advice on setting up mediation, including drafting clauses, appointing mediators, and mediation advocacy and representation.
