University Of Texas Plans Fall Corporate Counsel Institute

The University of Texas School of Law has planned a video replay of its two-day corporate counsel CLE seminar for Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, at the Norris Conference Center in Austin.

Designed for corporate counsel, outside counsel, and other lawyers whose practices deal with business entities, the course promises to be both comprehensive and practical. Topics include e-discovery, insurance policies, contracts, real estate transactions, fiduciary duties of officers and directors, auditing and accounting compliance issues, criminal law issues, securities law, bankruptcy, employment law, environmental issues, intellectual property, ethics, effective arbitration, organization of an in-house legal department, litigation management, tax law, and privacy and data security issues.

Among the faculty are Kenneth P. Held, Vinson & Elkins LLP, Timothy J. Hill, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, Noelle M. Reed, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and Ira B. Shepard of the University of Houston Law Center.
