University Of Texas Law School Slates Telecom Conference

The University of Texas Law School this month has scheduled its 9th Annual Telecom, Cable and Wireless Conference.

The conference will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9 at the Hyatt Regency on Town Lake, 208 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX. Sessions will run from 8:50 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

The conference faculty will cover topics such as: Beyond the Hype I: Truth About Triple Play's Progress With Infrastructure and Services; The Role of Universal Service in a Competitive Environment; Intercarrier Compensation and VoIP Interconnection Issues; Telecom Case Law Update; Wireless: How Do Handsets Drive Network Affiliations?, and Potential Privacy Pitfalls for Broadband Service Providers.

Among the speakers are Ray Baum, Oregon Public Utility Commission; Todd Baxter, Texas Cable & Telecommunications Association; Stanley L. Kroder, University of Dallas College of Business, and Rosemary McMahill, Texas Public Utility Commission.
