The University of Texas School of Law will join with the Houston International Arbitration Club and The Permanent Court of Arbitration to present a two-day seminar titled Multiple Parties, Multiple Problems: Consent, Procedure and Enforcement in Commercial and Investment Arbitrations.
The program will take place Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11 at The Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague, the Netherlands.
Some of the topics to be addressed over the two-day period include: Defining the Problem: Consent and Surrogates for Consent in Commercial and Investment Arbitration; Multiparty Issues in Investor-State Arbitration: An Overview; Classwide Arbitration and Mass Claims, and Enforcement, Including Enforcement of Investment Arbitration Awards Involving Multiple Parties.
Among the speakers will be R. Doak Bishop and Margrete Stevens, King & Spalding LLP; Richard Chernick, JAMS, and Brooks Daly, Permanent Court of Arbitration.
