The University of Texas School of Law and the State Bar of Texas this month are sponsoring their 11th Annual Insurance Law Institute, a three-day event focusing on the latest developments in this area of law.

The institute will take place on Wednesday-Friday, December 6-8 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, TX. Sessions will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 8:50 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Among the topics that speakers will examine are: Hurricane: Business Interruption and Other Time Element Coverages; Coverages for Construction Claims: Clarifying the Confusion Over the Business Risk Exclusions; What Goes In, What Goes Out: Discovery & Evidentiary Issues in Coverage Litigation, and Setting the Chess Pieces: Preparation and Strategy Considerations in Filing and Prosecuting Coverage Litigation.

Among the speakers at the conference are Elizabeth Ann Gilday, Republic Underwriters Insurance Company; D. Christopher Heckman, Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Karen Perrigrew, assistant Texas attorney general, Financial Litigation Division.
