Both New York City and State have been in the forefront of implementing sustainability programs that encourage state agencies, public benefit corporations and authorities, and corporations to do their part to green the environment. Corporate America is rapidly recognizing the economic benefits of joining the green movement, the practical challenge of imminent federal carbon cap-and-trade legislation and the marketing value in being perceived as "green." This program is an essential primer on the coming legal storm of federal and state regulations.
