Two-Day Securities Regulation & Business Law Conference To Be Held In Dallas

On Thursday and Friday, February 10 and 11, the University Of Texas School Of Law has scheduled the 2011 Conference on Securities Regulation and Business Law.

It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. on Friday at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.

On Thursday morning, a discussion that covers Key Developments with Shareholder Access and Proxy Rules will include Brian V. Breheny, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as a panelist. In the afternoon, Structuring Private Equity Investment Vehicles for Small Investor Groups will include Eliot D. Raffkind, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as a panelist, followed by A Recapitalization Toolkit: Tips, Tricks and Pitfalls by T. Richard Giovannelli, K&L Gates LLP.

On Friday morning, a discussion titled How Recent Fiduciary Cases Affect Advice to Directors and Officers of Delaware and Texas Corporations will include Hon. Myron T. Steele as a panelist, and after lunch, Scott Friestad, associate director, Division of Enforcement, the U.S. SEC, will offer SEC Perspectives, Including New Tools for Identifying and Investigating Enforcement Issues. An SEC and State Enforcement Panel Discussion will follow, moderated by Rose Linda Romero, U.S. SEC, Fort Worth.
