Twin Cities Society Of Corporate Secretaries Prepares For 2010 Proxy Season

As the 2010 proxy season comes into full swing, the Society of Corporate Secretaries of the Twin Cities together with the Twin Cities Compensation Network is hosting a presentation designed to address the issues now facing corporations in preparing 2010 proxy statements.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at Target Financial Services, 3701 Wayzata Boulevard in Minneapolis. The program will begin with a networking breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude at 10:30 a.m.

The presenter is Mark Borges of Compensia, a nationally recognized speaker on compensation and compensation disclosure issues. The Obama administration has endorsed legislative efforts to mandate say on pay, and proposed rules requiring additional disclosure around compensation topics such as risk management of compensation and independent compensation consultants. Mr. Borges will review the results of the 2009 proxy season and will identify and address the principal issues that companies will face in preparing their next round of disclosures.
