CTS EVENTIM, the number one provider of ticketing and live entertainment services in Europe and number two in the world, has appointed experienced lawyer Tilman Wink as the company’s new General Counsel and Head of the Legal Department. He will take over from his predecessor, Rainer Appel, on 1 April. In his new role, Tilman will advise CTS EVENTIM on all legal matters and use his comprehensive expertise to support the company in its future M&A activities. Tilman reports to CEO Klaus-Peter Schulenberg.
Tilman studied law in Bayreuth, Bordeaux, Munich and San Diego. He passed Germany’s second state law exam in 2000, and also holds a “Licence en droit” from France and a Master of Laws from the US. Until 2018, he worked for a series of renowned major law firms, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Simmons & Simmons and Baker McKenzie. His main areas of focus there included corporate and capital markets law, financial law and private M&A. Tilman spent the last five years as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary for SIGNA Sports United Group in Berlin and Frankfurt. During this time, he set up the group’s legal department, was involved in its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, handled the legal aspects of the acquisition of the Wiggle group, and helped establish SIGNA’s tennis group through several international acquisitions.
