Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today the addition of a three-lawyer team to its labor and employment department further expanding its service offerings nationally and internationally. The trio of prominent employment litigators joins Seyfarth from Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.
Clifford “Seth” Sethness has built a formidable reputation over the past two decades as a leading labor and employment attorney. He joins Seyfarth as a partner in its Labor & Employment department and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Kent Roger and Taylor Horn, come to Seyfarth as senior counsel and counsel respectively, also in the Labor & Employment department. They are both based in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Seth Sethness has earned numerous recognitions for his high-level work covering the full range of employment litigation, which spans federal and state courts, and arbitrations. He also brings valuable experience from inside the government, having served with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) before joining Morgan Lewis.
His cases range from a federal court wage-hour class action alleging over $1 billion in damages, to multi-plaintiff discrimination and retaliation claims, to contentious single-plaintiff termination and failure to promote claims.
Sethness has tried more than 35 jury and bench trials and arbitration hearings, involving alleged race discrimination, sexual harassment, failure to accommodate disability, retaliation, wage and hour violations, unfair competition, whistleblowing, breach of employment contract, and age discrimination in state and federal courts, in addition to handling dozens of labor and employment arbitration trials.
Sethness has been recognized as a leading labor and employment lawyer by the Legal 500 US and Daily Journal California’s Top Labor and Employment Lawyers and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for the past decade. He earned an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from George Washington University Law School, and a BA from Denison University.

Kent Roger represents clients in labor and employment and antitrust litigation and investigations, with a focus on the maritime, energy, high-technology, automotive and mobility, and transportation industries. He litigates class action and complex business disputes at trial, on appeals and in arbitrations, including maritime labor and employment, alleged cartels, monopolies, predatory pricing, and other unfair competition matters. Roger is recognized as a leading antitrust litigation lawyer by Best Lawyers in America. He earned his JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and his AB with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley.
Taylor Horn represents companies in single-plaintiff and class action employment matters. His practice focuses on disputes that include family and medical leave, complex wage and hour issues, workplace discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and representative actions brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act. Horn received his JD at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and his BSW from the University of Utah.
