The 2008 Legal Year To Be Reviewed By MSBA

The Maine State Bar Association has scheduled the 2008 Legal Year in Review, an update on significant changes in the laws, to be presented at the Augusta Civic Center on Thursday, November 20 starting at 8 a.m. and concluding at 4:15 p.m.

The speakers will include: Richard J. Abbondanza, Hopkinson Abbondanza & Backer; Donald W. Macomber, Office of the Attorney General, Augusta; and Anne-Marie L. Storey, Rudman & Winchell.

In addition to hearing live presentations, participants will receive written materials containing case law and legislative summaries from each topic being offered this year providing an invaluable practice guide for use all year long.

Members of the audience will select the curriculum that is most relevant to their practice. Session topic revisions will include Employment Law I (for the beginning practitioner) and Employment Law II (for the more experienced practitioner), sessions on Administrative and Municipal Law, as well as all topics that previously have been offered at this annual MSBA seminar. In addition to items that are back by popular demand from the 2007 program, the ethics portion has been scheduled for presentation this year at 12:45 p.m., directly following lunch.
