Texas State Bar Explores Evidence And Discovery

On Thursday and Friday, May 20 and 21, the State Bar of Texas will offer Advanced Evidence and Discovery at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio.

It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Topics to be covered include the practice of law in the information age; authenticating tweets; the deposition of corporate representatives; parallel criminal and civil cases; and discovery issues in arbitration.

Thursday's luncheon presenter, John G. Browning of Thompson Coe, will discuss Authenticating Tweets. On Friday, Weston Clark Loegering of Jones Day will discuss Parallel Criminal and Civil Cases, and Marianne M. Auld of Kelly Hart & Hallman will discuss Attorney Client Privilege in the Context of Embedded Employees and Agents. Other speakers include Hon. Carolyn Wright, chief justice, Fifth Court of Appeals and Hon. Harvey G. Brown, Jr., Wright Brown & Close.
