Texas Seminar Focus: Advanced Patent Law

The University of Texas School of Law has scheduled a seminar titled Advanced Patent Law Institute on Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin.

The program will run from 9 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. on day one and from 9 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. on day two.

Topics that will be discussed are Top 10 Prosecution Ethics Issues with David Hricik, Mercer University School of Law; a panel discussion about Patentable Subject Matter and Practice Strategies in the Shadow of Bilski moderated by Barton Showalter, Baker Botts L.L.P.; Obviousness: KSR's Impact on Litigation with Nicolas G. Barzoukas, Weil, Gotshall &Manges LLP; and Damages and Apportionment: Trends, Responses, and Tough Questions for the Experts moderated byRobert Barr, Berkeley Center for Law and Technology and with commentators Brent K. Bersin, Navigant Consulting, Inc. and Walt Bratic, CRA International, Inc.Other topics include Cost-Management Strategies: An In-House Counsel Viewpoint and International Patent Prosecution and Litigation: China.
