Texas Law School Schedules ReplayOf Choice Of Entity Seminar

The University of Texas School of Law is planning a video replay of a CLE seminar titled 2007 Partnerships, Limited Partnerships and LLCs.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 6 and 7 at the Center for American and International Law, 5201 Democracy Drive, Plano, TX. Sessions run from 8:50 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on day two.

The program covers topics such as: A Walk Through the Key Agreements: LLCs, LLPs, GPs and Operating Agreements; Unique Aspects of Representing and Drafting Agreements for Private Equity Investors; Developments With the New Texas Margin Tax and the Impact on Choice of Entity; Service Partners and Equity Based Compensation of Partners: Safe Harbors and Traps for the Unwary, and Series Interests in LLCs, State and Tax Law Considerations.

Among the speakers are William P. Bowers, U.S. Treasury Dept; Lawrence L. Foust, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan; Frank Z. Ruttenberg, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, and Kevin Thompson, Thompson & Knight LLP.
