Texas Colloquium Features Discussions On Controlling Cost Of E-Discovery

The Executive Counsel Institute has planned a two-day colloquium in Houston titled E-Discovery for the Corporate Market on Thursday and Friday, September 22 and 23.

It will run from 9:00 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana Street in Houston.

This is a highly interactive exchange that will provide attendees practical advice regarding the e-discovery challenges facing organizations today. Designed specifically for in-house counsel and their staff, it will offer a series of ten in-depth roundtable discussions moderated by leaders in the e-discovery arena, building on a set of frequently encountered legal issues and with attendees and moderators jointly developing practical solutions.

The roundtable discussions will cover creating a routine and repeatable e-discovery business process; dealing with litigation holds; arguing proportionality; recognizing and reconciling the tensions between inside and outside counsel; the importance of project and process management skills; effective cost and risk containment steps; the need to document e-discovery efforts; the real ECA and risk analysis, and more.
