Texas Bar To Offer Video Replays Of Advanced Employment Law Course

The State Bar of Texas this month has scheduled video replays of its 15th Annual Advanced Employment Law Course.

Programs will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9 at the Holiday Inn Select, 2712 Southwest Freeway, Houston, and on Thursday and Friday, March 22 and 23 at the Norris Conference Center, 2525 West Anderson Lane, Austin. Sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday.

Among the topics that panelists will address are: Retaliation After White v. Burlington Northern; Developments in Disability Discrimination Law; Non-Competes: New Rules in Texas; Religious Discrimination; Diversity in the Workplace, and National Origin Discrimination: Language and Immigration Related Issues.

Among the speakers are Joel M. Cohn, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; James Dockery, associate general counsel, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and Robert A. Canino, regional attorney, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
