Texas Bar Schedules Two-Day Litigation Update

The State Bar of Texas has scheduled its annual Litigation Update Institute for Thursday and Friday, January 15 and 16, at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel, 420 Market Street in San Antonio.

The program will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. A video replay will be presented in Houston on February 26 and 27.

Among Thursday's topics are a Supreme Court update, ethical challenges, and updates about product liability, arbitration, and legal malpractice. Friday's topics include updates in intellectual and patent litigation, labor and employment law, oil and gas litigation, and business and commercial law. Two panel discussions will be included in Friday's session.

Jeffrey Toobin, senior analyst for CNN, will present the keynote address titled Current Issues Facing the Courts: Up to the Moment Analysis with Jeffrey Toobin. Mr. Toobin is a staff writer for The New Yorker and one of the country's most respected experts on politics, media and the law.
