The South Central Texas ACC chapter has scheduled a seminar designed to keep lawyers out of trouble. Titled An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure, the session will offer practical steps in-house counsel can use to reduce the risks and costs email and electronic information can pose for a business.
The lunchtime presentation will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 9, at the San Antonio Plaza Club, 100 W. Houston Street, San Antonio.
The discussion will include turning a 26(f) conference into a strategic opportunity; minimizing the impact records retention will have on your liability and D & O premiums in 2008; safeguarding against privacy breeches and their related costs; and reducing IT costs to support discovery.
Marty Provin, executive vice president of Jordan Lawrence Group, LC, is the scheduled speaker.
