The D.C. Bar is hosting a seminar on Thursday, July 16, titled Antitrust Investigations: Tactical and Ethical Issues. To be held at their conference center, 1101 K Street, NW, Washington, D.C., the program will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:15 p.m.
A panel of experienced prosecutors and defense counsel will review and discuss ethical and tactical issues that often arise in antitrust investigations. This course will also address the following concerns: false statements, obstruction, issues arising with companies and witnesses in criminal antitrust investigations, lessons learned from recent corporate misconduct prosecutions, ethical issues raised by the existence of the government's amnesty and amnesty "plus" programs, conflicts of interest and multiple representation issues, and what rules govern and how do the rules change (if at all) for investigative efforts abroad, among many other key topics.
The panel will feature Ray Hartwell, Hunton & Williams LLP; Kathryn Fenton, Jones Day, Ann O'Brien, U.S. Department of Justice; and Donald Klawiter, Mayer Brown LLP.
