Stock-Options Back-Dating To The FCPA Topic Of San Francisco Bar Seminar

In a lunchtime seminar on Wednesday, June 22, the Bar Association of San Francisco will offer Stock-Options Back-Dating to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The program will run from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the association's conference center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.

Speakers Patrick J. Richard, Nossaman LLP; Ronda McKaig, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; Walter F. Brown, Jr., Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP; and Stuart L. Gasner, Keker & Van Nest LLP, will discuss the following issues: What is a civil enforcement action and what are the unique procedural issues, from a Wells Notice, to civil penalties and follow-on administrative proceedings; winning strategies for pre-trial motions, key settlement terms and trial; practical tips for challenging the SEC's case or putting the government's case on trial; the role of experts and demonstrative evidence; and the lessons that can be learned from recent trials that may apply to the current interest in FCPA claims.
