Steven Spector has become the new president of the Association of Corporate Counsel, San Diego Chapter (ACCA-SD). Mr. Spector has served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Arena Pharmaceuticals since June 2004.
Mr. Spector served as the Vice President and General Counsel of Arena Pharmaceuticals from October 2001 to June 2004. Mr. Spector has also served as the Secretary of Arena since November 2001. Prior to joining Arena, Mr. Spector was a partner with the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he worked from 1991 to 2001.
Mr. Spector joined ACCA-SD shortly after becoming in house counsel and soon became active on the Program Committee and the Pro Bono Committee before joining the Board of Directors in January 2005.
"Mr. Spector is highly regarded in the legal community among both in house and outside counsel," said ACCA-SD Executive Director Jon Hellings. "Among his goals for ACCA-SD in 2007 are increased membership participation and increased pro bono outreach. We look forward to the continued tradition of excellence of service to ACCA-SD members and the entire legal community under his leadership."
