State Bar Of Texas Slates ReplaysOf Advanced Real Estate Law Course

The State Bar of Texas is planning video replays its 29th Annual Advanced Real Estate Law Course.

Programs will take place Wednesday-Friday, August 15-17 at the Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell, Dallas, and on Wednesday-Friday, September 5-7 at the Westin Galleria, 5060 West Alabama, Houston. Sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the first day, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on the second day and from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the third day.

Among the topics examined in the course are: Real Estate, Lending and Other Commercial Matters in the 80th Legislature; Gross Margins Tax; Service Partners: New Rules for Treatment of "Carried Interests"; Land Use 101 - Overview & Constitutional Limitations; Vested Rights/Non-Conforming Uses; Boundary Line Disputes; Current Issues on Texas Wind Energy Law, and Mechanic's Liens - Key Concerns From the Owner's and Contractor's Perspective.

The course director is Reid C. Wilson, Wilson, Cribbs & Goren. Among the speakers are Sen. Kyle Janek, Texas State Senate; Jack W. Carsten, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and Arthur J. Anderson, Lorin W. Combs, Jeffrey W. Matthews and Edward A. Peterson, Winstead PC.
