The State Bar of Texas has scheduled its 15th Annual Texas Minority Counsel Program.

The conference will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 6 and 7 at the Hilton Austin Hotel, 500 East Fourth Street, Austin, TX. Sessions run from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on the first day and from 8:15 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. on the second day.

The mission of the Texas Minority Counsel Program is to increase opportunities for minority and women attorneys who provide legal services to corporate and government clients and to expose those organizations to the legal talent found in the minority and woman lawyer community. The program seeks to encourage corporations and government agencies to retain minority and women lawyers from minority, women, or majority owned law firms.

The co-chairs are Ruben C. DeLeon, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and David K. Richardson, HR Legal Search LLC. Among the speakers are Jaime Ramon, K&L Gates; Yvette Ostolaza, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and Lisa Gallerano, Akin Gump.
