State Bar of Texas Seminar Will Review Texas Water Rights

The State Bar of Texas has scheduled its 9th Annual Changing Face of Water Rights in Texas seminar.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa, 545 Hyatt Lost Pines Road, Lost Pines, TX. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday.

Among the topics speakers will address are: Desalination of Brackish Ground Rules; Groundwater Management Areas, PGMAs and the Joint Planning Process; Water Law in the 80th Legislature and Looking Forward to the 81st; Due Diligence; New State Bar Real Estate Water Rights Forms; Case Law Update; CCNs: In and Out, and Recent Reuse Developments, Negotiated Settlements, LCRA v. City of Austin.

The course director is Hunter Wyatt Burkhalter, Kemp Smith.
