The State Bar of Texas will present its 17th Annual Entertainment Law Institute.

The event will take place on Thursday and Friday, October 11 and 12 at the Hyatt Regency Austin, 208 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on the first day and from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the second day.

Among the topics of discussion will be: Fundamentals of Copyright Termination Rights; Misappropriation of Name, Image and Persona Claims - The Silver Bullet in Entertainment Litigation; "The Big Picture" - A Bird's Eye View of the Music Industry; Talent Management Agreements; Nashville Record and Publishing Deals: The Process, the Politics, the Payoff; New Legal and Business Challenges Arising From Digital Distribution, and Producing and Pitching Film & Television Projects to Cable TV Networks.
